Watermelon Rice Krispie Treats

- 2 cups Rice Krispies green layer
- 4 cups Rice Krispies pink layer
- 5 oz marshmallows green layer
- 11 oz marshmallows pink layer
- 1 ½ TBS butter green layer
- 2 ½ TBS butter pink layer
- 1 tube green food coloring
- 1 tube pink food coloring
- ¼ cup chocolate chips watermelon seeds
Green layer (rind)
melt 1 ½ TBS butter and 5 oz marshmallows in large stock pot
Stir until melted together
add in green food coloring. Stir and add food coloring until desired level of green is reached
add in 2 cups of Rice Krispies. Stir until Rice Krispies and marshmallow mix is completely green (add more food coloring if needed)
scoop mixture into bowl and place in refrigerator
Pink layer (watermelon)
melt 2 ½ TBS butter and 11 oz marshmallows in large stock pot
Stir until melted together
add in pink food coloring. Stir and add food coloring until desired level of pink is reached
add in 4 cups of Rice Krispies. Stir until Rice Krispies and marshmallow mix is completely pink (add more food coloring if needed)
scoop mixture into bowl and place to the side (not in the fridge)
Combining layers
spray 9' pie pan with canola oil
pull green mix from fridge and put in pie pan
mold mix around the outside edge of the pie pan to form a green circle
take pink mix from the side and put in center of pie pan
flatten pink mix with spatula until it meets the green ring
place chocolate chips on pink watermelon area to make seeds
press chocolate chips into pink mix with spatula
place treats to the side and allow to cool
Cut, serve, and enjoy!
