Ingredients

Various entertaining crackers, different sizes and flavors

Salami

Pepperoni

Monterey Jack cheese, cubed

Sharp cheddar cheese, cubed

Gruyere cheese, sliced and cut into a star shape

Black olives

Green olives

Kosher dill petite pickles

Cherry tomatoes

Blackberries

Cranberries

Pistachios

Pretzel sticks

Fresh rosemary sprigs

Instructions

  • Cube the Monterey Jack and sharp cheddar. Slice and cut the Gruyere into a star shape. Fold the meats to create dimension. Set all ingredients out in small bowls before building.
  • Lay parchment paper on your serving board. Arrange crackers in rows forming a Christmas tree shape — wider at the base, narrower at the top. Place pretzel sticks vertically at the bottom for the trunk and set the Gruyere star at the top.
  • Layer in medium-sized items — folded salami, pepperoni, cubed cheeses, and cherry tomatoes — filling gaps between the crackers.
  • Fill remaining spaces with smaller items: petite pickles tucked horizontally, pistachios, cranberries, blackberries, and olives.
  • Step back and adjust spacing and quantities until the tree looks full and even.
  • Insert fresh rosemary sprigs along the sides and throughout the board to create greenery and dimension.

Notes

**Storage**
Store each component separately after serving. Meats, cheeses, fruits, and vegetables keep in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Crackers and pretzels stay fresh in an airtight container at room temperature for at least a week. Once assembled, serve within 2 hours.
**Recipe Tips**
* Start with the largest items and work down to the smallest for easiest assembly.
* Use multiple cracker varieties in different sizes for visual interest.
* Fold meats rather than laying them flat to add height and dimension.
* Keep the board chilled until 15 minutes before serving.
