Equipment

  • Skillet or Saucepan
  • Medium Bowl

Ingredients

  • 12 oz Bacon uncooked
  • 2 cup Sour cream
  • 2 cup Cheddar cheese shredded
  • ¼ cup Green onions sliced
  • Potato chips to serve

Instructions

  • In a large skillet or saucepan, cook the bacon.  Cool on a paper towel lined plate to absorb excess grease.
  • Once cool, cut or crumble the bacon.
  • In a medium bowl, combine the sour cream, cooked bacon, cheese and green onions.  Stir to combine well.
  • Chill for about an hour to allow the flavors to combine.
  • Serve with additional cheese and green onions, if desired.

Notes

You can store this in a covered container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. You can freeze it, but the sour cream will sometimes lose its texture and separate some when defrosted.
