These Rudolph Nutella sandwiches are honey wheat bread sandwiches filled with Nutella, cut into small rectangles, and decorated with candy eyes, a red M&M nose, and pretzel antlers to look like Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. They are ready in about 15 minutes and make a fun Christmas snack or lunch for kids.
Spread Nutella onto 2 slices of bread. Top each with a second slice to make 2 sandwiches.
Using a pizza cutter, trim all crusts off each sandwich. Cut each sandwich into 3 equal rectangles for 6 pieces total.
Dip 2 candy eyes in a small amount of Nutella and press onto each rectangle.
Dip 1 red peanut M&M in Nutella and press below the eyes as the nose.
Break each pretzel in half and press both halves into the top of each rectangle at an angle for antlers.
Notes
**Storage**
Best served immediately after assembling. Sandwiches can be made and trimmed a few hours ahead and stored covered in the refrigerator — add decorations right before serving.**Recipe Tips**
* Use a pizza cutter to trim crusts cleanly without squishing the bread.
* Spread Nutella in a thin, even layer so sandwiches are not too messy to decorate.
* Work quickly — Nutella becomes less sticky as it sits.
* Assemble right before serving so pretzels stay crisp.
