Slow Cooker Creamed Corn

This slow cooker creamed corn with bacon is warm, flavorful and easy to make. It only takes a few minutes of prep and is perfect to serve as a side dish at holidays or everyday occasions.

Ingredients
  

  • 32 oz Frozen Corn or 2 lbs
  • 8 oz Cream Cheese cubed
  • .5 cup Heavy Cream
  • .25 cup Unsalted butter melted
  • 2 tablespoon Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Salt or more to taste
  • .25 teaspoon Pepper or more to taste
  • 2 strips Precooked Bacon crumbled
  • Green Onions to garnish

Instructions
 

  • Place the corn in the slow cooker. 
  • Sprinkle the cubed cream cheese over the corn.
  • Pour over the melted butter and heavy cream.
  • Sprinkle with the sugar, salt and pepper.  Toss to coat the corn.
  • Heat over high for 3-4 hours or low for 5-6 hours or until the corn is heated through.  Stir occasionally.
  • Serve with a sprinkling of crumbled bacon and chopped green onions, to garnish.

Notes

This can be kept in a container in the fridge for up to 5 days. Or, you can freeze it for up to 6 months, but the texture may suffer a little upon defrosting.
