    Creamed Corn

    Slow cooker creamed corn with bacon is a rich, creamy side dish that's easy to make and full of comforting flavor. This version combines sweet corn, cream cheese, and butter with a touch of sugar, then finishes with crispy bacon and green onions for extra texture and taste.

    With just five minutes of prep and a few hours in the slow cooker, this recipe is a convenient option for busy holidays or weeknight dinners. Using frozen corn and precooked bacon keeps it simple, and the result is warm and satisfying.

    Ingredients

    • Frozen corn
    • Cream cheese, cubed
    • Heavy cream
    • Unsalted butter, melted
    • Sugar
    • Salt (or more to taste)
    • ¼Pepper (or more to taste)
    • Precooked bacon, crumbled
    • Chopped green onions, to garnish

    Instructions

    Cook up your own batch of slow cooked cream corn with bacon simply by following these easy instructions.

    Step one: Place the corn in the slow cooker. Sprinkle the cubed cream cheese over the corn.

    Step two: Pour over the melted butter and heavy cream. Sprinkle with the sugar, salt and pepper.  Toss to coat the corn. 

    Step three: Heat over high for 3-4 hours or low for 5-6 hours or until the corn is heated through.  Stir occasionally.

    Step four: Serve with a sprinkling of crumbled bacon and chopped green onions, to garnish.

    Storage

    This can be kept in a container in the fridge for up to 5 days. Or, you can freeze it for up to 6 months, but the texture may suffer a little upon defrosting.

    • 32 oz Frozen Corn or 2 lbs
    • 8 oz Cream Cheese cubed
    • .5 cup Heavy Cream
    • .25 cup Unsalted butter melted
    • 2 tablespoon Sugar
    • 1 teaspoon Salt or more to taste
    • .25 teaspoon Pepper or more to taste
    • 2 strips Precooked Bacon crumbled
    • Green Onions to garnish
