    3 Ingredient Broccoli Cheese Casserole

    3 ingredient broccoli cheese casserole is a simple, comforting dish that delivers creamy, cheesy goodness with minimal effort. With just broccoli, cheddar, and cream, this recipe proves you don't need a long ingredient list to pack in flavor.

    It takes only five minutes to prep and bakes in under 15, making it perfect for busy nights or quick sides. Using ramekins gives each portion a golden, bubbly top and makes serving easy and elegant.

    This casserole is great for family dinners, holiday spreads, or even meal prep. It's satisfying, kid-friendly, and easy to make with either fresh or frozen broccoli.

    Ingredients

    • Broccoli florets, fresh or frozen
    • Heavy whipping cream
    • Freshly shredded cheddar cheese

    Instructions

    Baking up a batch of this easy broccoli cheese casserole is as simple as following along with these steps.

    Step one: Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.  Spray 6-7 4oz ramekins with non-stick spray.  Set aside.

    Step two: If using fresh broccoli, rinse thoroughly and drain off excess water.  Cut the stems off and chop the florets into one inch size pieces

    Step three: Place your trimmed fresh broccoli or frozen broccoli in a large bowl and microwave for 3 minutes.

    Step two: Pour in the heavy whipping cream and sprinkle with half of the shredded cheddar cheese. Toss the mixture to coat the broccoli.

    Step three: Transfer the broccoli to the individual serving ramekins just until the top of the rim.

    Step four: Sprinkle with the remaining shredded cheese.

    Step five: Place the ramekins on a baking sheet and cook in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes or until the cheese is melted and golden. 

    Hint: Serve warm for best taste

    Storage

    You can store these covered in the fridge for up to 4 days. While you can freeze this dish for up to a year, it would take up a lot of room stored in the ramekins.

    Feel free to change up the flavors by switching out the cheddar for your favorite cheese.  We also like to use Colby Jack or Gouda.
