See recipe card for quantities.
Instructions
These cute christmas tree shaped salami appetizers are actually really easy to make. Just follow these simple directions.

Step one: Place the Gouda cheese on a board. Use a cookie cutter to cut out snowflakes. Form 4 stars from the cheddar cheese.

Step two: Slice the cucumber and insert the skewer into one cucumber slice and push it down.

Step three: Fold the salami in half, leave 1/10 inch from the edge, and prick it. Place the second slice of salami on the skewer in the opposite direction. This will create the bottom tier of the tree.

Step four: For the next tier, leave ⅕ inch from the edge and prick 2 slices of salami on the skewer in the same way. Roll the next two slices and thread them onto a skewer, piercing the center. Finish assembling the tree with a quartered salami. Skewer the star.
Hint: make sure to completely secure each layer before adding the next.
Recipe Tips for Success
- Use thinly sliced salami as it is easier to fold and won't crack.
- You can use any hard cheese you want - cheddar, gouda, colby jack.
- You can use a pickle or cucumber, whichever you prefer.
Storage
You can store these in an air tight container for 3 - 5 days in the fridge. They can be frozen, but they are better made fresh.
