Melted snowman strawberries are fresh strawberries dipped in white chocolate and decorated with candy eyes, a carrot nose, and a black gel smile to look like little melted snowmen. They are adorable, easy, and ready in about 15 minutes.

Each strawberry gets dipped and decorated individually, and the whole batch comes together quickly once your chocolate is melted. They are a perfect no-bake Christmas treat for holiday parties, cookie exchanges, classroom celebrations, or gifting to neighbors and teachers - and they look much more impressive than the effort involved.

- Black sparkle gel
See recipe card for quantities.
Instructions
Preparation: Wash and thoroughly dry the strawberries. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set out all decorating supplies. Melt the white chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl on defrost - start with 1 minute 30 seconds, stir well, then continue in 1-minute intervals until fully melted and smooth.

Step one: Using a skewer, dip one strawberry at a time into the melted white chocolate, coating it fully. Let any excess drip off and place on the prepared parchment-lined baking sheet.

Step two: Immediately press two candy eyes and one candy carrot nose onto each strawberry while the chocolate is still wet so they adhere without any additional glue.
Step three: If the chocolate sets before you finish decorating, lightly dip the back of the candy eyes and nose into the melted chocolate and press onto the strawberry to secure them.

Step four: Using the black sparkle gel, draw a curved row of small dots below the nose on each strawberry to create the snowman's smile.
Step five: Place the decorated strawberries in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
Hint: Work one strawberry at a time - dip, then decorate immediately before moving to the next. The white chocolate sets quickly and the decorations will not stick once it hardens.
Recipe Tips for Success
- Dry the strawberries completely before dipping - any water on the surface will cause the chocolate to seize and become lumpy.
- Melt the chocolate on defrost rather than regular power to prevent scorching - white chocolate burns easily and is harder to recover than dark chocolate.
- Use a snowman decorating kit from the baking aisle if you can find one - it often includes the eyes, carrot noses, and gel all in one package.
- These are best made the day of serving - the strawberries release moisture over time which can cause the chocolate to slip.
Storage
Store melted snowman strawberries in a single layer in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours. They are best enjoyed the same day they are made. Do not stack them or the decorations will be damaged.
