    Apple Dump Cake

    This Apple Dump Cake is the ultimate easy dessert for fall. With just three ingredients and five minutes of prep time, it's a no-fuss recipe that delivers warm, buttery flavor in every bite. Perfect for potlucks, holidays, or casual weeknight treats.

    The combination of sweet apple pie filling, buttery yellow cake mix, and melted butter creates a soft, gooey center with a golden, slightly crisp topping. Serve it with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream for a cozy and crowd-pleasing finish.

    • Apple pie filling
    • Yellow cake mix
    • Butter - unsalted

    Instructions

    Quickly back up this apple dump cake using these step-by-step instructions.

    Step one: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.  Spray or line a 13x9 or similar sized baking dish.

    Step two: Pour the apple pie filling into the bottom of the pan and spread evenly.

    Step three: Sprinkle with the dry yellow cake mix and spread evenly.

    Step four: Slice the butter into thin pieces and place across the entire surface of the cake mix. 

    Step five: Bake in the preheated oven for about an hour - the mix should be bubbly and slightly golden brown.

    Hint: Allow to cool before serving. Serve with ice cream or whipped cream, if desired.

    Storage

    This cake can be kept for up to 3 days in a container in the refrigerator. Or, it can be frozen for up to 6 months.

    • 1 box Yellow cake mix
    • ½ cup Butter unsalted
