    Canned Green Beans

    Easy canned green beans are a quick, flavorful side dish that comes together with just a few ingredients. Enhanced with browned butter, almonds, and a splash of lemon juice, this recipe transforms simple pantry staples into something special.

    With just five minutes of prep and one skillet, you can have this dish ready in about 15 minutes. Toasted almonds add a subtle crunch, while the browned butter and onion bring a rich, savory depth to the beans.

    • Canned green beans
    • Unsalted butter
    • Chopped almonds
    • Diced onion
    • Lemon juice
    • Salt, to taste
    • Pepper, to taste

    Instructions

    Doctor up your canned green beans and make them taste flavorful and delicious by following these easy steps.

    Step one: In a large skillet, heat the butter and almonds over low heat. Stir occasionally and allow to cook for about 10 minutes.  Butter should be browned and almonds aromatic.

    Step two: Add in the onion and cook for an additional minute.

    Step three: Add in the green beans, lemon juice, salt and pepper.  Increase salt and pepper if desired, to personal taste.

    Step four: Cook for an additional 5-10 minutes over medium low until heated through.  Continue to stir occasionally. 

    Storage

    You can keep these stored in a covered container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Or, you can freeze these for up to 6 months.

    • .5 cup Almonds chopped
    • .25 cup Onion diced
    • 2 teaspoon Lemon Juice
    • .5 teaspoon Salt to taste
    • .25 teaspoon Pepper to taste
