Instructions
Follow along with these easy step-by-step instructions to bake up your own blueberry apple pie.
Step one: Preheat over to 400 degrees Fahrenheit and spray a 9 inch pie pan with non-stick cooking spray. Place one pie crust in the pie pan and set aside.
Step two: Combine sliced apples, blueberries, lemon zest, lemon juice, corn starch, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt in a bowl. Toss to combine.
Step three: Pour filling into prepared pie crust.
Step four: Roll out second pie crust and use a pizza cutter to slice into ½ inch strips.
Step five: Lay half of the strips vertically about an inch apart. Then, flip every other strip up and lay a strip horizontally. Fold the vertical strip back down, flip the next vertical strip up. And continue until the lattice is complete. Place on top of the pie.
Step six: Add egg and milk to a bowl and whisk together.
Step seven: Brush top of pie with egg wash, sprinkle with sugar and bake for 20 minutes at 400 degrees. Then lower temp to 375 and bake 30 - 40 minutes or until crust is golden brown.
