How to make Chocolate Pudding Rice Krispie Treats

Chocolate pudding Rice Krispie Treats are another easy and tasty variation to the original Rice Krispie Treats. Adding in a pudding mix is not too difficult and doesn't change the mixing texture too terribly much. If you have tried out any of our cake batter treats like Funfetti Rice Krispie Treats or Red Velvet Rice Krispie Treats, this will be nothing new to you.

    Step One

Get your large stock ready and put it on your stove top. Set your burner to medium heat and melt 3 tablespoons of butter.

Now, get out your marshmallows and add an entire 16 oz bag of Jet Puff Marshmallows into the pot of melted butter. Stir them together until the marshmallows and butter have completely melted into one big sticky ball.

    Step Two

Once everything is melted, measure out ⅓ of the box of chocolate pudding. You do not want to use too much of the pudding because of how thick it gets. It will make the mixture very difficult to stir and mix if you add too much.

Using your spatula, stir your pudding mix until your former buttery, marshmalley ball is now a buttery, marshmallowey, and chocolatey ball. Reduce the heat to low or medium-low

Now, add in your 6 cups of Rice Krispies. Mix everything together with your spatula until everything is completely coated and thoroughly mixed.

    Step Three

Get out your 9 x 13 pan. Get out your Canola oil spray. Coat the bottom and sides of the pan with your baking spray.

Scoop your treat mix from the pot and into the baking pan. Use your spatula to flatten the batter down into the bottom of the pan. Set to the side and allow to cool.

    Step Four

Once your treats have cooled, take out a knife and cut them into 15 to 16 squares.

    Serve and enjoy!
