Do you love Rice Krispie Treats but just want something a little bit different? If so, you are going to love the creamy goodness of White Chocolate Rice Krispie Treats.
How to make White Chocolate Rice Krispie Treats
Look, we all love chocolate. We also love original rice, crispy treats and their marshmallowy goodness. But there's no shame in admitting that sometimes you want a little bit of variety.
We feel the same way and that's why we decided to try out White Chocolate Rice Krispie Treats. They just a little bit creamier than milk chocolate And have a distinct sweet flavor. They're also super easy to make. If you have tried out our M&M Rice Krispie Treats or Butterscotch Rice Krispie Treats this will be no problem for you.
Step One
Go ahead and put your large stock pot on your stove top and set your heat to medium. Put 3 tablespoons of butter in the pot and allow it to melt.
Once your butter has completely melted, or at least mostly melted, get out your marshmallows. Put a full 16 ounce bag of Jet Puff Marshmallows into the pot and start to stir into the butter.
Continue stirring until marshmallows have completely melted. Reduce heat to low or medium low. You reduce the heat to keep the marshmallows from overheating and becoming stiff and brittle and difficult to stir later.
Step Two
Next, you want to take six measured cups of Rice Krispies cereal. Add them directly into the melted marshmallow butter mix. Use your spatula to stir them together until they are almost completely mixed.
Take 2 cups of white chocolate chips and dump them into the Rice Krispie Treats batter. Again, with your spatula, stir until everything is mixed thoroughly.
Step Three
Get out your canola oil spray and your 9 x 13 baking pan. You can use any flavorless, non-stick baking spray you like, we just prefer to use canola oil. Spray the bottom and inside walls of the 9 x 13 pan.
Scoop your Rice Krispie Treat mix from the stock pot into the pan. Use your spatula to flatten the mix into the bottom of the pan until it is completely even. Set to the side and allow to cool.
Step Four
Once your Rice Krispie Treats have had enough time to cool, go ahead and pull out a sharp knife and prepare to cut them. If you cut them into 2 x 2 inch squares, you should be able to get approximately 15 to 16 Rice Krispie Treats from a 9 x 13 pan.
The final, and most important step, is to simply serve them and enjoy!
