    No Churn Strawberry Ice Cream

    If you love strawberries and ice cream, then this no churn strawberry ice cream is a must try. Being a no churn recipe means that you don't need any special ice cream makers or anything to whip up a creamy, cool batch of your own.

    This no churn strawberry ice cream is sweet, creamy and super fast and easy to make - with no special equipment needed. Try this cold, fruity treat for hot summer days.

    Strawberry desserts are great for summertime, if you are looking for some other strawberry flavors, try strawberry jello salad or strawberry pretzel pie.

    This recipe does have a chill time of 4 hours, but the actual prep work only takes about 15 minutes. Plus, you only need 5 super simple ingredients to make this, so it's a really easy treat to try making.

    Ingredients

    • Strawberries - washed and diced
    • Granulated Sugar
    • Lemon Juice
    • Heavy Cream
    • Sweetened Condensed Milk

    Instructions

    Follow along with these photos and step by step instructions to make a batch of your own no churn strawberry ice cream.

    Step one: Add sliced strawberries, lemon juice and sugar to a pan. Heat on low stirring frequently.

    Step two: Continue to heat on low until it thickens, about 15 minutes.

    Step three: Add heavy cream to a mixing bowl and whip on medium high until stiff peaks form.

    Step four: Add sweetened condensed milk and mix on low until well combined.

    Step five: Gently fold strawberry compote into the whipped cream.

    Step six: Pour mixture into 13x9 dish. Cover with plastic wrap and freeze for about 4 hours.

    Hint: remove from freeze about 10 minutes before serving for easier scooping.

    Recipe Tips for Success

    • Use a masher while heating the strawberries to make them smaller and juicier.
    • Make sure to gently fold in condensed milk and strawberries so that the whipped cream does not deflate.
    • Make sure strawberries are completely cool before adding to whipped cream.

    Storage

    This can be kept covered in the freezer for 6 months.

    • Mixing bowl
    • 13x9 Dish
    • Hand or Stand Mixer

    Ingredients
      

    • 1 lb Strawberries diced
    • 2 tablespoons Sugar
    • 1 tablespoon Lemon Juice
    • 4 cups Heavy Cream
    • 14 oz Sweetened Condensed Milk

    Instructions
     

    • Combine 1 lb strawberries, 2 TSB sugar and 1 TBS lemon juice in a large sauce pan.
    • Heat strawberries on low, while stirring frequently until juices are released.
    • Continue heating about 15 minutes until mixture thickens while still stirring.
    • Remove from heat and allow to completely cool.
    • Add 4 cups heavy cream to a mixing bowl and mix on medium high speed for 2 -3 minutes until stiff peaks form.
    • Fold in 14 oz of sweetened condensed milk gently until well combined.
    • Gently fold in strawberry compote until well combined.
    • Pour ice cream mixture into 13x9 dish.
    • Cover loosely with plastic wrap and freeze for approximately 4 hours.

    Notes
