⭐Recipe Tips for Success
- Thawed whipped topping - make sure the whipped topping is thawed so that it easily combines with the jello and strawberries.
- Fresh strawberries - while you can use frozen strawberries, they are more difficult to slice and they add a little water to the salad as they defrost. Fresh strawberries are a little better for this recipe.
- Make sure jello is set - it is important to let the jello set before adding the other ingredients. It doesn't have to be the full time listed on the box. We usually let it cool in the fridge for about 30 minutes.
Storage
This can be stored covered or in an airtight container in the fridge for about 5 - 7 days. Keep an eye on the strawberries as it will depend how fresh they were.
It is not recommended to freeze jello although you can if you really want to. If you freeze this fluff salad, when defrosted it tends to be watery and lose it's texture a little.
